Lewis Creek Invasive Plant Collaboration

Client: NCDENR-Ecosystem Enhancement Program and Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy

The NC Ecosystem Enhancement Program contracted Equinox to manage invasive exotic plants within their Lewis Creek stream restoration easement. Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy (CMLC) owns an adjacent wetland that is infested with reed canary grass, so we reached out to CMLC to work together and inventory/control the invasive plant species on both properties, thereby increasing the capacity to manage the plants across boundaries.
