Job Openings at Equinox:
Equinox is looking for a Planner III to manage key planning and feasibility studies and preliminary design projects supporting public access, conservation, sustainability, and outdoor recreation. The candidate should be an organized, creative, and energetic self-starter with excellent communication and project management skills, who enjoys working within a collaborative team dynamic. This person will work on projects of multiple scales from small site scale to large tracts and even regional scales. Top-level candidates should be familiar with design project management, environmental review processes, and local, state, and federal land use laws and permitting processes, including the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Candidates must have a degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, or similar and a minimum of 5 years of experience in design and master planning. In addition, the candidate should have a working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or GIS, Adobe Suite, MS Suite, and should have extensive experience in group facilitation and community and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will have demonstrated analysis, planning, design, and graphic skills. Writing and graphic/map samples should be submitted with a resume. The candidate will be expected to work closely with other design professionals including Engineers, Scientists, Architects, and a wide variety of specialists. Having a working understanding of resilience (as applies to facilities, communities, etc.) will prove to be a benefit for the candidate. This role involves work in a project driven environment and the need to remain flexible.
