Vision Cashiers is a non-profit civic organization that serves to better the quality of life in the unincorporated Village of Cashiers. One of Cashier’s challenges is its lack of pedestrian-bicycle infrastructure. Vision Cashier’s engaged Equinox to develop a plan to expand the Ramble Greenway into a larger system that would connect the entire village and beyond. Components of this plan are: • A Wayfinding Guide that identified a comprehensive signage system and material guide. • Design Guidelines for several different greenway types recommended to address varying conditions. • An Implementation Plan to address routes, phasing, cost, and where the system should be ADA accessible. • Stakeholder Engagement with Jackson County staff and a larger Vision Cashiers Advisory Committee. • Recommendations on activation partnerships, design, and management.
