Client: Town of Lake Lure
A series of stormwater wetlands were constructed at the highly visible Morse Park in the Town of Lake Lure to address stormwater issues as they relate to the marina parking area and adjacent multi-use recreational field. Equinox balanced the recreational needs of the Town with water quality improvements to create a solution that would integrate the park and wetland areas. The plan also included visual enhancements, habitat enhancements, an increase in usable recreation space, and opportunities to incorporate wetland interpretation as an educational component of Morse Park.
