Knoxville Regional Greenway: Maryville to Townsend

Client: Knoxville Regional Transportation Planning Organization and Great Smoky Mountain Regional Greenway Council

The Maryville-to-Townsend Greenway in Tennessee consists of 14 miles of improved greenway trail paralleling existing transportation infrastructure and the Little River. The greenway will connect pedestrians and bicyclists from Knoxville, Maryville, and Alcoa to a gateway community of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The study projects significant economic, social, and health and wellness benefits for the residents of Blount County with an estimated economic impact of $65 Million.
