Client: Muddy Creek Watershed Restoration Partnership
Equinox developed detailed streamside restoration plans for the ecological restoration of approximately 6,000 feet of stream along Goose Creek and an unnamed tributary flowing through a private landowner’s pasture. The ecological objectives of this native plant restoration were to help stabilize streambanks, provide shade along the stream to cool water temperatures for fish and aquatic organisms, and re-create the plant diversity and layering of vegetation to improve aquatic and terrestrial habitat along this stream corridor. Another objective of this project was to demonstrate to other landowners in the watershed the aesthetic value of streamside vegetation.
