Equinox helped lead this multi-jurisdictional project that is being used to guide all future regional greenway development for the next ten to twenty years in Buncombe County. A comprehensive public process included engaging with the general public, key project stakeholders, and multiple jurisdictions and agencies. The project also focused on several key tasks including: overall connectivity, health impact assessment, prioritizing greenway corridors, designing greenway routes and alternatives, developing corridor maps depicting the study area and priority corridors, assessing the economic benefit of greenways, developing land acquisition plan and policies, and providing funding strategies and cost estimates.
