We are pleased to announce that Megan Foy has joined our staff. As a native of Asheville, she understands the importance of integrating responsible development practices with the conservation and restoration of our unique landscapes. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of North Carolina. Megan is skilled in landscape design, resource conservation and restoration, and low impact development. She also has experience in data collection and assessments for natural resource inventories, monitoring, and management associated with streams, botanical surveys, and invasive exotic plant species. Megan’s background working for a stream restoration firm provides her insight and understanding into hydrologic systems and restoration design.
Megan serves as a team member in the Environmental Design Group, but also works closely with the Ecological Services Group. Her professional background includes projects in environmental restoration, stormwater BMP design, master planning, landscape design, and conservation planning.
In addition to spending time with her baby girl, husband and two dogs, Megan still finds time to enjoy running and hiking in the the beautiful landscape she calls home.
